breaky-break! (pt. 1)

my thanksgiving break started with a visit from my bf slash bff nate. he arrived by train early saturday and that is when our adventures began. first, we made and ate a record amount of waffles. then, i beat him a few hundred times at gin. next, we went to see the crystal method with rebecca downtown. i was too busy getting my feet trampled by high heels (still have bruises...grr) to take photos but all-in-all it was a great night.

on sunday, we ventured up to flagstaff for a bit of hiking. unfortunately we lost the trail and ended up getting in a bit more hiking than was anticipated.

so... where are we?

at least we had some good views.

fun with concrete!

our next project for building materials was to create a concrete cylinder to be tested. the testing has yet to happen, but many memories have already been made.

of course before getting started, we had to get home depot hot dogs! well some of us did anyways.

i can't even guess how many hours i put into building these models. it's sick really. thank goodness we had a couple of snow days which allowed me some extra time and a 20 minute nap.
