final project: hybrid!

our final studio project for the semester was a hybrid of both additive and subtractive pieces. although it wasn't a requirement, i decided to make mine a literal hybrid of my first two abstract models. then based on this hybrid abstract model, we had to make a gathering space with a specific program, mine being a theatre. both my hybrid abstract and gathering space models were chosen for our end of the year display so yea for that!

abstract model.

gathering space model aka my theatre.

breaky-break! (pt. 2)

i apologize for my lack of blogging as of late, but i'm sure you all will be glad to know i have officially survived my first semester of grad school and made it back to iowa safe and sound!

here are the photos you've been waiting for (courtesy of cousin rachel):

our first order of business on rachel's first day in boulder was a tour of celestial seasonings.

we got lots of free samples...

and some sweet hair slash beard nets to wear on our tour! i chose to sport mine the rest of the day because it looked so good.

when the cat's away, the mice will craft! (don't worry levy's, we put down that green sheet as to not get a speck of glitter on your new carpet.)

the next day uncle randy came to town and we ventured down to colorado springs to see grandpa burt and this cute picture was taken.

thanksgiving day at karen's. we had the best weather ever!

this fist pumping pride santa was on karen's counter.

rachel and i decorated the christmas tree and found anna lou's christmas sweaters!

i had daisy duty for the week and she was lucky enough to make the cut in this family photo.
