our first project this semester was creating a 3x3 grid of models. the first column is grid, the second is volume, and the third is skin. the grid has a gradient in every direction i.e. compress to expand, symmetrical to asymmetrical, and simple to complex.

the most magical place on earth

in anticipation of rebecca's pirate-themed birthday party (to take place next friday), we decided to check out the costumes at denver's own wizard's chest. we quickly learned that this was no ordinary costume shop.

then, we had a craft party to work on our costumes and make super deluxe eye patches. stay tuned next weekend for photos of what is sure to be an epic time.

rebecca and i finally made our much-anticipated move to the big city! we are now basically downtown and only one mile from school aka no more nauseating bus rides for me! here's a preview of our new pad which you will all get to experience for yourselves when you come visit (please?).

happenings

i have just returned to colorado after a glorious 5 week stint back in the midwest. my camera didn't make it out even once, but here are the undocumented top five things that went down:

1. my new lease started! denver, here i come!

2. law and order marathons. yes, there was more than one.

3. tours of lincoln, nebraska which included the state capitol, the licorice store (they have over 160 kinds!), and the national roller skating museum. also, clue was played and a tofurkey feast was had.

4. two great concerts: the faint and the good life.

5. lots of quality time with lots of quality people.



oh yeah, and snow also happened.
