broad comedy.

last weekend, rebecca and i headed up to boulder for BVWHC's annual fundraising event. this year they opted to host the broad comedy show at the lovely boulder theatre. it was good times, to say the least.

the show opened with this delicate little icebreaker.
(if you are sensitive to swears, please disregard.)

the rest of the show was equally hilarious.

as honorary VIP's (aka aunt susan groupies), r and i even got invited to the after-party where this cute picture was taken.
and we scored some oprah-worthy GIIIIIFT BAAAAAGS!!!

thanks for the tickets, padres. 'twas a grand time.

fiesta fun!

since claire was so kind as to host italian dinner night last month, r and i took it upon ourselves to return the favor and have everyone over for some fiesta fun slash food.

light.

this semester, our studio project is about the "poetry of light." to develop our understanding of this topic, we are to do 100 sketches studying the quality of light throughout the semester. here's a smattering of what i've done so far.

p.s. those last 2 were done with my super fancy sketching pencil, dad. it's a big hit. it was on loan much of the summer and now many people are going out to buy their own.
