what's a landform?

our next studio assignment was to design a "landform" based on our shear/stasis model. too bad no one has been able to define exactly what a landform is. anyways, photos of mine follow.

to wrap up this assignment, we had to present our models and diagrams in front of a jury consisting of 2 professors, 2 outside architects, and most of our peers. needless to say, last week was a stressful one (comparable to all-state band auditions or that time in 5th grade when mr. reineke told me i had to sing a solo in the music program (unfortunately crying didn't get me out of the review.).).

not only did i survive, it actually went really well. so yea for that!

i also took pictures of my friend's landforms. the four of us sit in a little pod in studio and have gotten to know each other pretty well.

rebecca's landform. it looks like a rabbit which is really great. also, she is the same person as me which is weird and nice all at the same time.

dave's landform. he's really clean and married. we wonder which came first.

adam's landform. he often sweeps his eraser pieces onto my desk aka is messy. and single. i think we know which came first.

after our review, we all went out to dinner across the street. tim got the hiccups and claimed the only cure was for rebecca and i to plug his ears while he drank through a straw. i still think it's strange, but it seemed to do the trick. and it was a lot less hassle than rebecca's drink-water-upside-down method. also, there was a magician that came over and did tricks for us but i was too mesmerized to take photos.
